BBC Article on the Mourides

Here's an article from the Beeb on Touba and the Mourides. I like how it recognizes that this is a different, non-Arabic form of Islam (as indeed, the majority of Muslims are not from the Middle East). However, Islam in Senegal (certainly a different beast, no matter what brotherhood one adheres to) is often conflated with jihadists and Wahabbi Islam in the eyes of Americans. This is truly unfortunate.
